CNN finds revenue in direct response advertising

Direct response advertising now accounts for about 20% of the ads that run on CNN. "We're seeing high-dollar categories adopting D.R. that you once wouldn't have associated with the format: pharmaceutical, financial services, tech, travel," said Greg D'Alba, COO of CNN ad sales and marketing.
