Digital-marketing growth to outpace traditional media in 2012

Marketers are shifting their advertising budgets from traditional outlets to digital platforms, according to a recent SoDA report, with 50% of marketers planning to increase their digital media budgets in 2012, compared with 22% who plan to increase their traditional media spend. Still, companies are cutting overall spending along the way, as 20 cents is being diverted to digital for every dollar trimmed from traditional ad spending.
