More manufacturers set minimum prices for HDTV sets

After Samsung Electronics and Sony put universal pricing policies in place for their high-definition television products, all leading HDTV manufacturers except Panasonic have jumped on the UPP bandwagon this year, this article notes. The HD Guru advises consumers to get an end-of-year bargain on a 2012 HDTV model, buy a 2013 model from Panasonic or purchase an HDTV from a second-tier manufacturer, such as Philips and Vizio.
