New labeling system aims to promote recycling

A new labeling system that seeks to identify and rank products according to how widely they are recycled is set to be tested in June by companies including Costco and Seventh Generation. The system was developed by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, which includes Procter & Gamble and Unilever. The coalition's goal is for the system to eventually become an industry standard.
