How Starbucks defused a gun-control showdown

Some gun-owning enthusiasts are exercising their rights by openly bringing guns into Starbucks stores, but the company has declined to take the bait -- leaving it to customers to decide whether they needed to bring a gun on their coffee run. "Starbucks is a special target because it's from the hippie West Coast, and a lot of dedicated consumers who pay $4 for coffee have expectations that Starbucks would ban guns," notes one gun-policy expert. "And here they aren't."
