Iconic L.A. sushi chef ends 47-year career

Japanese sushi chef Kazunori Nozawa left his post at popular Sushi Nozawa this week, a hole in the wall where guests have been known to wait more than two hours. Nozawa, known as much for his no-nonsense style and penchant for tossing out diners who don't follow the rules of etiquette, now plans to lend his years of expertise to Sugarfish, a more upscale sushi restaurant chain run by a group that includes his son.
