Sedentary time may predict health in people at risk of diabetes

Overall sedentary time was associated with adverse effects in cardiometabolic health markers in patients at risk of type 2 diabetes, according to a study in Diabetologia. Researchers said sedentary time may be a more important health indicator than moderate-to-vigorous physical activity.
