Laser, light devices can reduce recovery time after eyelid treatments

Newer fractional devices used in laser and radiofrequency procedures of the periorbital area and eyelid may increase safety and help reduce patients' downtime, says Dr. Joely Kaufman, a University of Miami assistant professor and director of lasers for the University of Miami Cosmetic Group. "More research on ideal energy and density settings would improve results and safety with these devices," she writes, adding, "With this knowledge, laser resurfacing of the periorbital area will likely be a universal therapy."
