Teacher tenure would be harder to achieve under Florida legislation

Republican lawmakers in Florida have introduced legislation that would make it easier to fire teachers and harder for them to achieve tenure. Under the bill, half of teachers' pay also would be tied to student test scores. Critics say that the proposal would mean fewer teachers would want to teach in Florida or teach in struggling schools.
