Corn seed suppliers expect robust sales this planting season despite some concerns that last year's historic drought will extend into this year. Expectations that this year's corn acreage could be the biggest since 1937 will boost demand for seeds, the companies said. "We've heard some talk by farmers that they might cut back, but it's not turning out to be a big problem. The farmers appear to be optimistic," said Myron Stine, marketing manager for Stine Seed.
