Lawmaker wants EPA to perform more E15 impact studies

A bill unveiled by Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., would require the Environmental Protection Agency to conduct more studies into the potential impact of E15 on vehicle engines before it is introduced. "We have a responsibility to ensure that Americans using gas-powered machinery are not put at risk due to faulty fuel that has not been adequately vetted," Sensenbrenner said. Bob Greco, the American Petroleum Institute's downstream director, welcomed the measure, saying it shows increasing concern about such renewable fuel policies.
