AHA: Comprehensive strategies needed to improve U.S. diet

The American Heart Association says strategies to improve the American diet and encourage healthy eating habits must account for individual behavior, family eating patterns, socioeconomic factors and literacy levels. The group outlined several steps, including changes to the school nutrition program, increased workplace intervention and government subsidies to boost agricultural production of healthy foods.
