Blogs, Google Earth topic of teacher training

Some Grand Ledge, Mich., teachers are learning about blogs, MP3 files, Google Earth and iPhoto, and plan to use their new skills to enhance their lessons by creating classroom blogs or assigning technology-driven projects for students. "It's really effective for engaging them as learners. Today's teenagers are digital natives, and it's a big part of their environment," a district spokeswoman said. "It's really a learning advantage for the students, preparing them for the 21st-century work force. Technology is such a key component."
