Boeing hopes for board approval of 777X by year's end

Boeing is targeting the end of the year to receive approval from its board for the 777X, the newest member of the 777 family. The 777X, which is promised to exhibit improved efficiency, would enter service by the end of the decade, Boeing officials said. Separately, Boeing has boosted 787 production from 2.5 jets to 3.5 jets per month.
