Carbon nanotube fibers offer wastewater-treatment option

Researchers are studying how electrically charged carbon nanotube-coated filters prevent biofilms from slowing the flow of water through filters at wastewater treatment plants. The fibers appear to be a cost-effective alternative to the reverse osmosis method used by most facilities, researchers say.
