CFOs are getting greater say in IT purchases, survey finds

Chief financial officers are developing greater influence over IT spending, with 40% of respondents to a Forrester Research survey saying they will gain more influence during the next year. This reflects the changing nature of the IT industry, which increasingly sells to decision-makers and not IT departments, Forrester says.
