DIRECTV says it supports Cablevision's suit against Viacom

DIRECTV has joined Time Warner Cable and some smaller cable networks in supporting Cablevision System's federal antitrust suit against programmer Viacom. "There's no question that the current all-or-nothing system dictated by programmers is completely broken," DIRECTV said in a statement. Cablevision has sued to stop the practice of bundling less popular channels with more preferred services such as MTV.
