Japan reports sharp drop in radiation around Fukushima plant

Decontamination activities and rainfall may have contributed to a sharp drop in radiation levels in a nearly 50-mile radius around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan, according to a government report. Radiation measurements taken Nov. 16 were 40% lower than those taken about a year earlier, the report showed.
