Location requires context for fully relevant marketing

Location is important in mobile marketing, but its effectiveness can be enhanced greatly by putting the customer's location in context, taking into account other factors such as events. Speakers at the Mobile World Congress warned that as location data use becomes more common, brands must work to respect consumer privacy.
