Major browsers' HTML5 bug allows for extra-large cookies

An HTML5 bug in Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer can be exploited to fill Web surfers' hard drives with absurdly large cookies, a developer reports. The glitch lets sites sidestep per-domain local-storage limits to fill users' drives at a rate of 1 gigabyte every 16 seconds, according to tests by Web developer Feross Aboukhadijeh.
