The moral dilemma of neutering

Neutering pets has helped lower the number of unwanted pets in the U.S. by 20 million per year since the 1970s, but the practice does introduce a moral dilemma in light of recent studies that show removing pets' testicles or ovaries can increase their chances of cancer, joint disease and dementia, writes Hal Herzog, an author and professor of psychology.
