Obama nominates Moniz for Energy Dept., McCarthy as EPA chief

President Barack Obama has nominated Ernest Moniz for secretary of energy and Gina McCarthy as head of the Environmental Protection Agency. Moniz, who oversees the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Energy Initiative, was called a "brilliant scientist" by Obama. McCarthy is currently the head of the EPA's air and radiation office.
