Publix stock hits record high amid positive 2012 data

Publix Super Markets' stock, available only to employees and directors, rose 70 cents Friday, to an all-time high of $23.20 per share. The increase was spurred by the company's announcement that sales increased 1.9% last year compared with 2011, reaching $27.5 billion. Net income climbed 4%, to $1.6 billion.
