Snowfall brings further drought relief to Midwest

Snowfall is advancing into parts of the Midwest from the Northern Plains, moistening the soil ahead of spring planting and further replenishing the areas ravaged by last year's historic dry spell, according to Don Keeney, a meteorologist for MDA EarthSat Weather. "That is putting a lot of welcome moisture into the ground," Keeney said.
