Mo. licensure restrictions keep NP from helping women

Missouri nurse practitioner Sharon Giboney is not able to volunteer to treat women at The Kitchen clinic because the physician overseeing her work left the state and she has been unable to find a replacement. While 16 states allow NPs to practice independently, MONA CEO Jill Kliethermes says Missouri is one of the most restrictive states for advanced practice nurses.
