More demands from employees create new IT challenges

The proliferation of consumer IT devices is changing the expectations employees have for their work gadgets -- and for their IT staff, writes Paul D'arcy. Employees often cite tech tools as a deciding factor in which companies they work for, according to a Unisys study. That means IT workers must learn to balance the style, power and ease of use that employees demand against security concerns and other business needs, he notes.
