First Calif. Smart9-1-1 system established

Culver City, Calif., launched a Smart9-1-1 system this week, making it the first city in the state to use the technology that allows members of the public to create a personal safety profile that 9-1-1 dispatchers can access during a call. Culver City Mayor Andrew Weissman says the system will improve response times and save lives.
