Japan-France consortium joins bidding for Turkish nuclear project

A consortium of Mitsubishi, Itochu and GDF Suez has bid for the construction of a new nuclear plant in Turkey, government and company officials said. The group could invest up to $25 billion for the project, officials said. "If agreement is not reached with the energy ministry regarding the plant at Sinop, the same consortium will bid for Turkey's third planed nuclear plant," a GDF official said.
