Researchers: Let's make hydrogen fuel from light, water

Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and IBM have proposed a project to produce hydrogen for fuel cells from light and water, using an artificial photosynthesis process. "What is most significant is that the technology we describe as a starting point is already known," MIT's Tonio Buonassisi said. "We also point out all the challenges, so that scientists and engineers can begin experimentally addressing each challenge separately."
