SIFMA responds to broker-compensation proposal from FINRA

SIFMA sent a comment letter to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority regarding its proposal to require brokers to disclose incentives they receive when they change firms. "SIFMA supports disclosure of information that is sufficient to inform an investor of the potential conflicts of interest when it may arise in connection with recruiting-related bonus payments," wrote Ira Hammerman, general counsel at SIFMA.
