More prevention of second stroke needed

Stroke patients only get 60% to 80% of needed interventions designed to prevent another attack, a study of nearly 12,000 stroke patients found. Patients should get help with smoking cessation, diabetes management and exercise, along with appropriate medications, such as aspirin, blood pressure drugs and cholesterol-lowering medications.
