Survey: Employers to spend more on wellness incentives

A survey of 139 employers found most plan to increase spending on wellness incentives, which averaged $460 per employee in 2011. Data from Fidelity and the National Business Group on Health showed 57% of employers said wellness programs with incentives had better-than-expected participation rates.
