DOJ fears economic impact of prosecuting big banks, Holder says

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder says bringing criminal charges against the nation's largest banks is difficult because threatening such financial institutions could also undermine national or global economies. "I am concerned that the size of some of these institutions becomes so large that it does become difficult for us to prosecute them," Holder said, testifying at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
