Industry seeks TSCA focused on exposure limitation, not bans

The chemical industry is advocating for legislation that would change the focus of the Toxic Substances Control Act to a safety standard that manages risk without emphasizing bans, says Terry Medley of DuPont. "The TSCA 'unreasonable risk standard' should be replaced with a safety standard ... that is not zero risk. It should also incorporate exposure based on intended use," Medley said.
