Study: Patient safety strategies improve diagnostic accuracy

Stanford University researchers analyzed data from 109 studies and found diagnostic accuracy and patient management increased when technology-based strategies were used to help prevent diagnostic errors. The study in the Annals of Internal Medicine found the use of text message alerts for physicians was a promising strategy.
