UN Women's efforts against violence get results

The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women's efforts to end gender-based violence are reaching the International Criminal Court and national governments and are cause for celebration on Friday's International Women's Day, writes Brianne McGonigle Leyh. Cultural or religious beliefs shouldn't be used to condone such violence, says UN Women's Michelle Bachelet.
