Carnival to have agents do more online; some aren't happy

Carnival Cruise Line is trying to improve efficiency by no longer accepting travel agent e-mails and faxes for bookings through its reservations contact center as of March 1. Those are among the changes that have some concerned. "It is real interesting to me how cruise lines talk about their 'valued travel agent partners,' yet they are doing anything and everything in their power to make our job more difficult, all the while paying us less commission," said Nancy F. Yoffe of a South Carolina Cruise Planners.
