More companies drag out the hiring process

Employers are taking longer to fill highly skilled positions -- not because there aren't any candidates, but because they believe there are so many they want a bigger pool from which to choose, recruiters say. "Hiring managers hear the news and see the high unemployment rate and tell us that they want to continue looking for better candidates. They want the perfect candidate, when the reality is, there is no perfect candidate," one recruiter says.
