AMR warns not much time is left for new labor contracts

AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines, may seek court intervention in crafting labor contracts with its unions. "Every day that passes without new agreements introduces more risk to our situation," said AMR in a notice to employees. Separately, a bankruptcy judge denied a motion by American Airlines pilots to form their own committee to represent them in AMR's bankruptcy proceedings.
