CFATS is in good shape, regulators say at House hearing

The American Chemistry Council expressed hope about measures to fix the implementation of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards program after a House Homeland Security hearing on Tuesday. "Congress and the administration have an opportunity to build on the chemical industry's initiatives to enhance security by improving implementation of the Chemical Facilities Anti-Terrorism Standards," said Timothy Scott, chief security officer at Dow Chemical. "We now have the catalyst for change and an excellent opportunity to correct the course and complete the task at hand," Scott said.
