Companies are starting to realize that well-traveled, internationally experienced executives make the best bosses, John Coleman and Bill George write. Some firms require executives to have lived in more than one country to qualify for promotion, so aspiring leaders should make a point of immersing themselves in other cultures as they start to climb the career ladder.
