New Zealand continues broadband push in schools

New Zealand expects to make high-speed broadband Internet available to 693 more schools -- bringing the anticipated number of schools with the technology to 410,000 by next July. Education Minister Hekia Parata said the technology is expected to improve teaching and ease fears that schools in some remote parts of the country could struggle to recruit teachers because they lack resources and access to professional development.
