Class I's express optimism on more crude-by-rail gains

Several Class I railroads have expressed optimism over further growth of the crude-by-rail business. CP CEO Hunter Harrison predicted double to triple growth of petroleum shipments by 2016 even if the Keystone XL pipeline is approved, while BNSF Chairman and CEO Matt Rose also believed that crude oil could be a driver of business gains. "It is an enormous opportunity," Rose said.
