Britain undertakes 1st three-way kidney transplants

Doctors have conducted Britain's first successful three-way kidney transplant, which involved three pairs of donors and recipients. Experts hope the procedure will pave the way for more pooled transplants to be conducted in Britain to reduce the waiting time among kidney patients. "The U.K. transplant community will need to get more experience of donations between two or three couples before we can consider attempting more complicated swaps," a transplant expert said.
