HLT abdominoplasty can lift the thigh, give better contour

Patients with skin redundancy following childbirth or significant weight loss tend to have more excess skin laterally, not centrally, and can obtain good outcomes with high lateral tension abdominoplasty without liposuction, says plastic surgeon Steven Teitelbaum. Pulling laterally produces a better abdominal contour than short-scar abdominoplasty and results in thigh-area tightening as well, Teitelbaum says. However, HLT abdominoplasty results in wider, higher scars and longer recovery times.
