Report: State regulations threaten drug plan savings

Laws in some states prevent drug plans from implementing preferred pharmacy networks and providing incentives to use lower-cost mail service for prescription delivery, raising drug prices and premiums, according to a new report from the National Center for Policy Analysis. Additionally, dispensing fees are often higher for state-managed plans than commercial plans, the report notes.
