CVS "final" offer nearly matches Express Script bid for Caremark

In what it terms its "best and final" offer, CVS Corp. increased its bid for Caremark Rx to about $26 billion, close to the $26.3 billion bid made by Express Scripts. Caremark prefers a CVS takeover, which already has been cleared by the Federal Trade Commission, while Express Scripts expects the FTC to ask for more information before ruling on its offer. Caremark shareholders are to vote on the CVS bid March 16.
