N.C. district ups number of educators in Take One! to improve teaching

Durham, N.C., teachers are invited to participate in the Take One! program during their third year of teaching. The program allows teachers to complete some of the work they must do to become a National Board Certified Teacher. Educators who participate receive a support network, and the district hopes to have 100 teachers complete Take One! projects this school year, officials said. The district seeks to increase the percentage of National Board Certified Teachers in the district from 8.5% to 10%.
