New Zealand alters history curriculum

New Zealand Education Minister Anne Tolley has released eight School Journals that will, for the first time, include information about the history and culture of the Moriori people in the national curriculum. Tolley said the Moriori have been "misrepresented," and the altered curriculum is an attempt to help students learn about their history and origin.
