CMS rule reversal for PET leaves out cardiology

CMS has lifted the non-coverage decision for PET imaging for oncologic procedures, allowing local Medicare administrators to make decisions about coverage. The ruling, however, does not apply to cardiac and neurologic uses. ASNC and other groups had lobbied for a broader decision.
